Rexel was present at the symposium to mark the 25th anniversary of the association Entreprises pour l’Environnement

On June 19, to mark its 25th anniversary, the association Entreprises pour l’Environnement organized a symposium for its members in Paris to enable them to exchange ideas on the importance of environmental challenges in corporate practices. Patrick Berard, Group CEO, participated in a round table discussion on change management and corporate governance.

For 25 years now Entreprises pour l’Environnement (EpE) has served as a forum for around forty French and international companies committed to a common cause – reconciling growth and the environment. Aware of the major role that companies have to play in the ecological transition, this event was an opportunity for EpE members to exchange ideas on their methods of governance and to reflect on new, sustainable and viable economic models.

For this anniversary, over 400 EpE members and guests met together to discuss and exchange views on the environmental and strategic decisions of tomorrow. These included, Mr. Jean-Dominique Senard, the association’s Chairman and CEO of the Michelin Group, who organized an extraordinary symposium based on the theme of “EpE, 25 years of initiatives, 25 years to act, together”. At the round table on corporate governance, Patrick Berard shared his vision of a group that closely associates objectives for growth with commitments in the area of sustainable development.

Some twenty CEOs from member companies also shared their thoughts on future responsible and profitable environmental policies. The closing speech for the day was given by Nicolas Hulot, Minister for Ecological and Inclusive Transition, who encouraged participants to commit to ever greater involvement.
