Rexel partners with Ashoka, commits to UN Global Compact
Rexel, a leading worldwide distributor of electrical supplies, affirms its commitment to society by:
• signing a partnership agreement with international organization Ashoka to support social entrepreneurship throughout the world,
• committing to the United Nations by signing the Global Compact.
Rexel signs up as Ashoka’s new partner
Rexel, with Ashoka, is taking a stance to support social entrepreneurship. Through this partnership, Rexel has not only committed to provide financial support for Ashoka’s initiatives, but is also offering its assistance in 2012 to two social entrepreneurs in the Ashoka network with innovative projects in the field of energy efficiency. Promoting energy efficiency is a key development priority and commitment for Rexel, which actively encourages the implementation and adoption of eco-efficient and clean energy production solutions.
