Hagemeyer Deutschland obtains ISO 14001 certification
In December 2010, Hagemeyer Deutschland, a Rexel Group subsidiary, became the first German distributor of electrical equipment to receive ISO 14001 certification. Certifying good management in the areas of energy and the environment, this internationally recognised certification covers equally the head office, its various branches as well as the company’s logistics platforms. Low-energy devices, efficient logistics, the sorting of waste, the recycling of bulbs (etc.); to achieve this result, Hagemeyer has developed an approach that involves all its staff on all sites.
“As well as fulfilling one of our customers’ expectations, ISO 14001 offers us opportunities for making cost reductions” explained the CEO, Klaus Koster. “This certification signifies accelerated environmental awareness for our partners and employees. We wish to continue our efforts in this direction and to do so we must work together. “
This certification is part of a general approach by the Rexel Group and its brands. Its purpose is to improve its facilities and strengthen its internal procedures and actions for more efficient use of natural resources and the CSR impact of its operations.
