Rexel is recognized by the French Ministry of Women’s Rights for its progress in the area of gender balance in top management


Rexel was runner-up for most improved in the 2014 ranking of best gender balance in top management among companies in the SBF 120 French stock market index, which was sponsored by the Ministry of Women’s Rights.

Sharon MacBeath, Group Senior Vice President of Human Resources, received the award from Pascale Boistard, French Minister of State for Women’s Rights, at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Women’s Rights.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sharon MacBeath said:

“I am delighted to receive this award, which is testament to the progress made by Rexel in leadership gender balance. The challenge now is to maintain our momentum by attracting more women to our field – the professional distribution of electrical supplies and services to professional usersfor the energy world. Our desire is to enable women to develop their skills and thrive in every level of the company by respecting the principle of equal opportunity.” 

Based on objective, transparent criteria, the ranking was established by the firm Ethics & Boards for the Ministry of Women’s Rights, and highlights the SBF 120 companies that are the most advanced in the area of gender balance.
