Our vision

The transition to cleaner, more sustainable energies can only happen if everyone contributes. We must act individually and together to meet the challenges of climate change. This is the Foundation’s vision, which aligns with Rexel’s purpose: electrifying solutions that make a sustainable future possible.

Our mission

The Rexel Foundation’s mission is to power the energy transition through education. By supporting training and raising awareness, we encourage people to take action. The Rexel Foundation operates mainly through public and private philanthropic partnerships.

Our action

Our partners include organizations or groups that:

  • Develop or provide initial or ongoing training,
  • Facilitate access to training, especially for underserved job seekers, or
  • Promote the diversity and appeal of energy transition careers.

Our partners work with schools, youth organizations, companies, authorities and the general public to:

  • Improve knowledge of energy transition challenges
  • Offer practical guidance on how to help build a sustainable future

In the face of increasingly frequent climate crises, we allocate a portion of our budget to emergency aid in our local communities.

The Rexel Foundation in France

In France, the Rexel Foundation has teamed up with the Fédération Nationale des Écoles de Production, France’s national federation of technical colleges, to raise awareness of energy transition challenges.

This network of not-for-profit, government-accredited technical colleges aims to help unqualified youths from challenging backgrounds find work, often against a backdrop of poverty or learning difficulties.

Its hands-on approach to learning prioritizes teamwork in real-life professional settings.

Governance

The Rexel Foundation is run by an Executive Committee and a dedicated Operational Team.

The Executive Committee meets annually and at other times as necessary, in line with the Foundation’s work. Members decide on the Foundation’s strategic orientations, select the projects to support and oversee their implementation.

The Executive Committee is composed of five Rexel employees (“College A”) and two external experts (“College B”).

College A is comprised of:

  • Guillaume Texier, CEO of Rexel and President of the Foundation
  • Céline Coulibre-Duménil, Global Sustainability Director of Rexel and Vice President of the Foundation
  • Isabelle Hoepfner-Leger, General Corporate Secretary, Rexel
  • Grégoire Morineaux, Strategy and Sustainable Development Director, Rexel France
  • Martin Maurer, Human Resources Director, Rexel Austria

College B is comprised of:

  • Céline Laurichesse, Associate Director, Agence Assemble
  • Walter Bouvais, Co-founder of Open Lande

The dedicated Operational Team, including Marie-Hélène Gomis, General Secretary of the Rexel Foundation, works day by day to coordinate projects and manage the Foundation’s everyday affairs.
