Our commitment: achieve net zero by 2050
-60%
Scopes 1 & 2 emissions by 2030
-35%
Scope 3 emissions by 2030
Our plan for a carbon-neutral footprint has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We will cut at least 90% of the emissions from our own operations (Scopes 1 and 2) and from the products we sell (Scope 3) by 2050.
To reach these targets, we’re focusing on concrete action
Reducing our own footprint
In every Rexel country, a sustainability leader manages a detailed and ambitious action plan, covering our buildings, fleets and electricity sources.
Building awareness
We’re training all our employees in environmental issues to support the transition to a lower-carbon economy. We’re working with suppliers to promote innovation and eco-friendly practices. And we’ve introduced AI tools to help customers calculate their CO2 emissions from the products we sell and to highlight the most sustainable products and services across our distribution channels.
Improving sustainability information
In 2023, we launched Sustainable Selection by Rexel, more than 100,000 products chosen for their low environmental impact and manufacturers’ commitment to our Sustainable Supplier Charter. This selection comprises smart building solutions, heat pumps, electric vehicle charging components, renewable solar/wind energy solutions and lighting.
