Rexel progresses in the “2019 ranking of women in the top management of France’s largest companies”.

This year, the French Ministry for Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination, in partnership with Ethics & Boards and the magazine Challenges, has published the 2019 ranking of women in the top management of the SBF 120 companies.

This ranking, created in 2013, ranks the most virtuous large companies in terms of gender balance and the number of women on their management bodies. Another criterion taken into account in calculating the score is the proportion of women among the top 100 positions in the company.

In 2019, Rexel’s score improved significantly compared to the previous year, as the Group gained more than 40 places in the overall ranking. While we must of course continue and accelerate the implementation of concrete measures, Rexel can already boast some very encouraging figures. For example, the proportion of women on the Board of Directors was 44.44% in 2019, and parity was achieved in 2020 with the arrival of a new female director on Rexel’s Board of Directors, bringing the proportion of women on the Board to 50%.
