Shared ethics
Rexel's "Ethics Guide" sets out the Group's shared values and practices and invites all employees to ask themselves the right questions in their everyday activities.
The challenge is to think and act responsibly in all workplace situations by following the general principles of respect, loyalty, honesty, transparency, etc.
The Ethics Guide: the way ahead
- Every employee receives a copy of the Ethics Guide.
- It contains twenty concrete rules that espouse best practices that are to be followed in all of the Group's activities.
- The guide is applied in all countries where Rexel operates and is adapted to take account of specific local cultural aspects. It concerns all employees, whatever their position, entity, or level of responsibilities.
The Guide sets out the ethical principles and practices on which Rexel seeks to base its growth and build trusting relations with its stakeholders (customers, suppliers, shareholders) and employees.
It is backed up by annual internal assessments to measure achievements and maintain the dynamic for progress.

Asking the right questions
The Ethics Guide is the result of a long-term consultation program involving Head Office and subsidiary managers and frontline employees.
After studying 186 grass-roots situations, the main guidelines and principles were drawn up.
Ethics officers have been appointed in each country to ensure that the guide is correctly applied by all employees.
